Physicians - boost your LinkedIn smarts.

I'm a huge fan of social media done right, as it is an extraordinarily efficient way to connect with people all over the country (and the world), and build substantial relationships.

Please note the "done right" part, because this is where so many physician business owners, aspiring physician entrepreneurs and physicians seeking a career change make mistakes.

Just as you wouldn't (or at least I hope you wouldn't) walk up to someone at a cocktail party or fundraiser, thrust your hand out and announce "I'm Dr. John Smith. I want you to do business with me", the same niceties apply to social media marketing.
