Entrepreneurship (and public speaking) for physicians, taught by the masters

You can spend $100,000 on an MBA to learn how to become an entrepreneur, or you can diligently tap into the wealth of resources that the Internet provides for no more than the cost of your time.

One place that provides me with endless inspiration is TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) Talks. TED challenges the world's best thinkers, business people, educators, philosophers, heroes and doers to give a presentation in 18 minutes that will make your hair stand on end.

Online Degrees.net has gathered together 10 Essential TED Talks for Entrepreneurs that both inspire and inform us physician entrepreneurs and business owners who are striving to build businesses that will thrive and grow.

Watch the likes of Tony Robbins, Sir Richard Branson and Seth Godin strut their stuff.

Not only will you learn more about business, but I challenge you to dissect out and uncover the secrets of powerful presentation-giving. Watching these folks perform is an excellent way to learn from the masters without paying beaucoup bucks.

I am a big fan of TED talks. I recommend Jill Bolte-Taylor's talk on her "stroke of insight", Dan Pink on motivation and why P4P is likely not be the entire answer to the question of how to motivate physicians, and Elizabeth Gilbert on creativity.
